🎥 Full Access: Every Booth at 2026 Taipei Cycle [1F!]
I spent over 3 hours documenting every square meter of the TaiNEX 1 first floor to bring you this 108-minute definitive archive of the 2026 Taipei Cycle Show. While the 4th floor is the polished showroom for finished bikes, this is the industrial workshop where the industry’s pulse actually beats.
The air down here is different—it’s thick with the metallic scent of CNC-machined aluminum and the low hum of high-tech textiles being stress-tested. Walking through the 1F Engine Room feels less like a corporate gala and more like a high-intensity "Machine Shop" compared to the bright, carbon-fiber luxury of the 4th-floor main stage. You’ll see the raw grit under the industry's fingernails: from derailleurs that cost more than a flight to Europe to the hyper-specific tools that keep the world's elite pelotons moving.
👋 The Amaiwan Perspective
I’m Billy, and I split my life 50/50 between the US and Taiwan. Subscribe to Amaiwan Traveler for a ‘not-so-polished’ look at the gritty backstreets, survival guides, and the authentic pulse of life on both sides of the Pacific.

2026 Food Expo: Tasting Liquid Gold 🍵
You don’t have to leave the hall to find the escape; you just have to know where to turn. 🏮
While the main aisles are a 30-minute stalemate for food samples, a single turn leads you into the Liquid Gold corridor. The noise drops, the crowd thins, and the focus shifts to the clarity of a High Mountain Oolong pour. It’s the ultimate tactical pivot—trading the humid chaos of the food stalls for the refined energy of Taiwan’s best tea.
This is the hidden rhythm of the 2026 Food Expo. If youre fighting the crowd, youre doing it wrong.

![Taipei Traditional Market Festival: Street Food, Farmers Markets & Cosplay!
Taipei Traditional Market Festival: Eating the best stall food, mountain pig sausage, and exploding onion cakes at Yuanshan Expo Park in Taiwan.
Dàjiā hǎo everybody, welcome back! Today Im leaving the apartment and catching the Red Line MRT from Dongmen straight to Yuanshan station for the 2026 Taipei Traditional Market Festival. This is an annual event where the very best food stalls in the city battle it out to see who reigns supreme.
Under the hot Taipei sun, were navigating the heavy crowds to track down the absolute best local flavors. From traditional mountain pig sausage on a stick to a mysterious fried minced pork ball, we are trying it all. But the real highlight was a plate of crispy Yilan onion cakes that turned out to be so full of boiling, savory juice that one literally exploded right onto me and the camera lens!
Along the way, we also take a deep dive through the massive weekly farmers market and even stumble directly into a huge surprise anime cosplay gathering happening right in the middle of Maji Square. Come wander with me for a wild, delicious, and unexpectedly messy day out in Taipei!
Come wander with me.
