In the 1980s, froyo was low-fat. In the 2010s, it was tart and customizable. Now, it’s high-protein, gut-healthy, and “clean.”

The packaging keeps changing, but the ideals underneath it look pretty familiar. Froyo’s latest comeback shows how diet culture has been repackaged as wellness.
