Did you know that vitamin D is actually not a vitamin at all? It’s a hormone, one that’s used in multiple different ways by the body. But during clinical trials, there’s been a failure to show that the supplements fix “any condition whatsoever,” according to author and journalist Rowan Jacobsen.
