My parents had to call an arborist to remove a tree that presented a hazard. I asked if they could save me some nice sections, which they did, and my parents asked me to make them something from it, as a keepsake to remember the tree by.

I came up with this bowl, inspired by... well the internet!

If you are interested in making a bowl from a recently-cut tree, you must watch the "Woodwright's shop" (with Roy Underhill) episode where they talk all about it. It will answer all your questions.

Thanks for watching!
