To commemorate my parents' 40th anniversary, my siblings and I wanted to do something unique. I mean, how do you sum up all those years in a gift? In the end, we had the idea to make a nice copy of their marriage certificate, and I made a beautiful and simple frame for it. It turned out really, really nice! I wouldn't change a thing.
That night, we all went out to dinner and then met up at their house to eat dessert and give them the frame. They loved it!
If you are thinking of making a frame, my suggestion is do not get bogged down or worried about making very complex molding profiles. I have used this rabbet/groove profile a number of times, and it ALWAYS turns out amazing, especially if you are into modern, simple style.
