A Look Back at a 1995 News On 6 Interview

In 1995, News On 6 anchor Lori Fullbright and photojournalist Oscar Pea visited the set of “Walker, Texas Ranger” for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the show’s production. During the visit, Norris spoke candidly about his childhood and how martial arts shaped his life.

“I was a kid who grew up with low self esteem, not having a father image to really give me the strength that a young boy needs so the martial arts really kind of turned me around, raised my self esteem, so I guess that's why I'm such a strong advocate of the martial arts for youngsters,” Norris said at the time.

The full collection of Behind the Scenes segments from the set visit is available in the video above.
