Watch as I craft one of my fastest selfbows yet with minimal tools. I start with an osage orange bow stave and, with not much more than an old rasp, a draw knife, and a heat gun, transform a raw hunk of wood into a deflex/reflex longbow that I estimate is shooting well over 180fps. This all wood bow has a heavier draw weight than I normally build and shoot, but the draw is smooth and it shoots great. I'll build up to it before heading out on some pretty epic bowhunting adventures this fall. Although this isn't intended as a "how to build a longbow" video, I'm sure you can pick up some helpful bow building tips.
