Critical Issues Commentary | From Kundalini to Christ Part 8 – Understanding Yoga Poses @CICministry | Uploaded July 2020 | Updated October 2024, 1 day ago.
Amy Russell continues to explain the dangers of Yoga as she reveals the names and meanings of the different poses. Her testimony reveals that there is a strong, pagan religious system that is essential to Yoga itself. For example, one of the poses is about locusts which the Bible identifies as a plague sent for judgment. Another pose is the cobra which shows a relationship to the serpent that tempted Eve as taught in Genesis 3. Amy show how the whole process makes people defenseless and easy targets for evil spirits. The “corpse pose” in particular is designed to make participants ready to “assimilate” . . . but into what? The idea of Kundalini Yoga is to rouse the “snake spirit.” The occultists call this “energy” but in fact it is an evil spirit. Amy shares how the Yoga teachers do not acknowledge the existence of evil spirits, but rather call evil “good.” We also discuss the issue of focusing on one’s breath to silence rational thought. The purpose of this meditation is to achieve an altered state of consciousness and access a person’s supposed good nature. We explain that there is no such thing as a neutral, occult technique. We also point out that when God saves a person out of the occult, He brings the whole person out of the domain of darkness and into the true light of Christ, once for all.
