In Studio Session 250, I’m taking the Gelli print transfer I created in Studio Session 249 last week, and beginning the process of turning it into a painting.
I love the way a Gelli transfer can give me an unexpected starting point. Instead of simply reproducing the original image, I’m using the transfer as a layer to paint into, build upon, and make my own.
This is the beginning of seeing where this experiment will take me and there’s still plenty of room for the painting to change.
