Hafiz Muhammad Elmarouk is a professional calligrapher and student of knowledge. He was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. At 14, he moved overseas to Mauritania, where he memorized the Holy Quran. From Mauritania, he traveled to Jordan, where he studied the Islamic sciences and traditional Islamic calligraphy for four years, receiving Ijazas in Tajweed and Hadith narration. From Jordan, he moved to Turkey, where he completed his calligraphy training and learned Fiqh from the great Syrian scholars. Muhammad continues to study privately and has taught the Islamic Sciences for six years. He now resides in Toronto, Canada, pursuing a Master's in Islamic Theology. Sidi Muhammad trained and competed in BJJ and wrestling for ten years in the USA and Jordan.

About the Speaker:
Sidi Muhammad Elmarouk is a professional calligrapher and student of knowledge. He was born and raised in the Bay Area. At 14, he moved overseas to Mauritania, where he memorized the Holy Quran. This seminar is designed to help participants move beyond inherited identity into grounded conviction. Through Qur’anic reasoning, Islamic theology, and the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, peace be upon him, participants will explore the rational foundations of faith and learn how to respond to common doubts with clarity, warmth, and confidence.
This seminar is beneficial for youth, college students, parents, educators, converts, and community members who want to better understand and articulate the truth of Islam.
We Will Explore:
- Why God exists
- Why revelation is necessary
- Why Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, is truly the Messenger of God
- How to respond to modern doubts about atheism, science, suffering, and religious truth
- How to speak about Islam with clarity, confidence, and conviction

Shaykh Muhammad Elmarouk is a certified Basira instructor, teacher of Islamic studies, and youth mentor based in Toronto. Originally from the Bay Area, he leads Basira Youth Seminary and teaches programs that help Muslim youth develop a confident Islamic worldview rooted in reason, revelation, and spiritual practice. He has studied the Islamic sciences in Mauritania, Jordan, and Turkey, and holds a master’s degree in Islamic theology and philosophy. He is a Häfiz of the Qur'an with ijäzahs in the riwäyah of Hafs and is currently pursuing mastery of the ten qiră'āt. Shaykh Muhammad is also a professional Arabic calligrapher and holds an ijāzah in the Thuluth script.
