Originally Dan and me were going to go to Bensenville for 280 which had a SOO SD60 on the lead of a CP AC4400CW, but we figured, fuck it, we were sick of getting up early to go foaming. I couldn't get back to sleep after 7:00 AM, so I tried calling Dan, and he didn't answer, lazy fucker, so I was just going to do some local foaming. That turned into a drive to Lemont... The end of the train had a surprise on it, look at the pictures to see what it was.

Train 1: Signals at Flag Stone - red board. Signals at Romeoville Road - Dark. Driving on New Ave between Romeoville and Lockport - OH SHIT! A quick 180 and I get a pace video of the oil local as it cruises down M1 of the CN Joliet Sub. I got a shit shot of it at one of the truck entrances at Seneca, and then raced it back to the main entrance. While waiting for Annie to finish switching, I figured I'd wait it out at Seneca for Amtrak. It's a damn shame she pulled back into the shadows right as Amtrak passed, but I got an engine meet on the CN Joliet Sub, so I don't really care about shadows.

Before I left Lemont, two trains passed on the BNSF Chillicothe. One of which had a C44-9W, SD40-2, B40-8W combo on a stack!

Train 2: I get a call from Taylor who got a call from Nick who got a call from Joe (word of mouth is really quite fantastic) about a Southern Belle leading a coal down the BNSF Chicago sub. Taking Lemont road north to Downers Grove, I am stopped by Amtrak 380.

Train 3: Metra cruises by MP 26 on the BNSF Chicago sub. Nice engineer!

Train 4: The KCS Belle flies through on M1 giving off some horn. I freaked out thinking that my original shot was shit, so I ran a from "Point A" to the Milepost, and got my semi backlit shot of my first KCS Southern Belle leading.

The DPU shot turned out to be my best picture of the day.
