In this mixed media painting process, something unexpected happens…one simple abstract shape slowly transforms into a cat. It was noticed by one of my YT viewers before I even saw it!
This piece began with layered marks, intuitive shapes, and a limited color palette...but as I built texture and depth, one form started to suggest something more. I leaned into it instead of resisting it… and that’s when the surprise appeared.
