Martin Amis is largely ignored by BookTube. He is ignored because he is an old white bloke. I'm OK with people ignoring old white bloke authors, truly. They do not need anyone's help. But I have read a bunch of Martin Amis books and I will probably keep reading him for as long as he keeps writing.
It is more important than ever for us to read diversely and to expand our consciousnesses. For me that includes the occasional old white bloke (partly because I myself am an occasional old white bloke).
