Good start to the new year with a first class biography of Louise Fitzhugh, author of Harriet the Spy. If you didn't read HtS as a kid, you may not find much to hang your hat on, but if, like me, Harriet M. Welsch is a major touchstone in your life, then reading about Louise Fitzhugh's life will bring you joy and, potentially, have you in floods of tears.

I also include a perfunctory top 10 reads from 2021. My heart really wasn't in it, but they're all great books, I promise.

Here are the Goodreads reviews for the books I finished this week:

Another Man's Moccasins by Craig Johnson - bit.ly/3r0hFu9
Fagin the Jew by Will Eisner - bit.ly/3qUmXXN
Sometimes You Have to Lie by Leslie Brody - bit.ly/3JNo2JM
Batman Vol. 8: Superheavy by Scott Snyder - bit.ly/34jA9xM
Batman Vol. 9: Bloom by Scott Snyder - bit.ly/3f6gy6h
Batman Vol. 10: Epilogue by Scott Snyder - bit.ly/3f1N3Ts
