This free AE preset lets you add haze or fog to your 3D scenes in Adobe After Effects. To download, go to CreationEffects.com and head to the Freebies page. If you download the preset, please like or comment below.
This effect works by tinting your 3D layers according to their distance from the camera, making far-away elements blend in with your sky or your scene's background. It's great for imitating low visibility in your landscapes and underwater scenes. Installation instructions are below.

CreateRestart After Effects
Create a new folder in the Presets folder, and name it "Creation Effects". Drop the two .ffx files from the zip file into the folder. Restart After Effects, and then access the presets in the "Animation Presets" folder, in the "Effects & Presets" panel. To use the effect, you must create a control layer. Go to Layer / New / Null Object. Name the layer "Haze Control Layer". Apply the preset "Haze (Control Layer)" to the layer by double-clicking the preset while the layer is selected. Next, select all of the 3D layers in your scene, and apply the preset "Haze (3D Layer)".
