Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator. One of the biggest trolls Scott has ever pulled on us. At face value it appears to be a simple tycoon game and nothing more. However, once you get past the beginning, the real game begins.
I love this spin on the gameplay. No longer is it just sit and survive gameplay. Now you can run your own Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria and play a plethora of minigames, which are a ton of fun in of it themselves. My two personal favourites are Carnival Hoops and Deluxe Ball Pit. It’s always so satisfying to pull off perfect scores. But of course, it’s not just about the gameplay. It’s also about the story and lore. There are a bunch of secrets hidden in some of these minigames, and if you’re a theorist then you’ll really enjoy them.
The office gameplay is another unique take on the formula. Definitely executed better than Sister Location in the long run since it’s more familiar than that game was but still fresh enough to not feel bland. It does have its problems though, but not enough for me to rank this game lowly. And that’s not even mentioning the salvages. The atmosphere during those segments is impeccable. These animatronics can really just jump you at any time.
And we cannot forget the true ending to this game. Just wow. Scott really went all out for a climactic finale to the series, and it still holds up really well. While I graciously accept the existence of UCN forever and ever, that‘s moreso an epilogue. This is the true finale to the classic series and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
