I’ve always loved this song but had never played along to it. Chuck Blackwell was a fantastic groove drummer from Tulsa and he played with a number of great artists including Taj Mahal (that’s him in Rock & Roll Circus), Leon Russell, Joe Cocker, the Everly Brothers, and Freddie King. He was also part of the house band on the 60’s tv show “Shindig.”
This isn’t a note for note play along here. I’m manly following the groove but am more or less doing my own thing throughout. Really liking this recently added Gretsch chrome over brass snare!
