Just sitting in the pocket and trying to keep it as grooving as James Gadson. Nobody did it like him though. One of the great groove players of all time and I especially love his work with Bill Withers. This live at Carnegie Hall album is a must listen. Also check out the studio version of this song featuring the great Jim Keltner on drums.
