From the Red Mark Records CD “Carmen!”, this is François Rabbath’s “Two Miniatures for Double Bass and Piano”. The movements are “Incantation pour Junon” (Meditation and prayer to the goddess Juno) and “Reitba” (A portrait of the African desert). Two Miniatures was recorded 7-14-1992 at WGUC Studios in Cincinnati, OH (Brent Reider, recording engineer). Pianist on the recording is composer and bassist Frank Proto, whom has been a lifelong friend of Rabbath, and has written multiple concertos for double bass and orchestra for him.

From Nahre Sols album of original works for keyboard, “Alice in Wonderland”, is the piano version of her short piece, “Little Fishy Upstream Swimming.” This short little jingle was written originally for two synthesizers (specifically the Arturia Minibrute 2 and a Rhodes patch of a Nord keyboard). Similar in style to her piece “Sideways”, this piece is very creative, graceful, and constantly shifting. Once again, the recording was brilliantly performed by Nahre herself.
