Untitled sonic metaorganisms / untitled sonic microorganisms is an audio-only work in six parts (presented as a double CD) created from raw sonic materials provided by a vast number of international sound artists. It has been conceived, directed, composed and recorded by Francisco López under his denomination of the "absolute noise ensemble" and created over a period of 13 years (1992-2005). Each of the parts is a different aural environment constructed digitally in the studio starting from a wide variety of sonic materials that are de-constructed, mutated and reassembled according to perceptive and spatial criteria. The work has been conceived to be staged in complete darkness in a surrounding immersive sonic field around the audience.
