Framing a roof structure for multiple purposes. This structure creates the overhangs on all 4 sides. It also creates a 1.5" airspace for ventilating the new roof deck. I'm doing this so that the air boundary is intact and unbroken by things like rafter tails. Air tightness is the number one method for creating an energy efficient structure.

This cabin will be off grid, and solar. The solar will charge it's own battery bank and power the inverter.

The air boundary is created with 7/16" OSB covered with Protecto Wall VP.
