Chautauqua Dept. of Health water quality specialist, Boria touches on a few of the controversial issues involved in high volume horizontal fracking for methane in Marcellus and Utica shale. Boria faults the NY DEC's material division for its lack of response to health department complains of migration of methane gas from fracked wells. While Boria notes the radiation in the 'flowback' and cuttings from fracked wells, he doesn't discuss the problems posed by their disposal.
