At the Bilderberg 2012 coven, Bilderberg-watcher Joel Weisshaus says that Israel was created by the Rothschilds as a nation-state to hide their money, and an opportunistic group - the Zionists - who would front for them. Is this interpretation a rationalization, making Jews the victims of "one evil family"?, as Mark Glenn of The Ugly Truth, has said: "It's pure BS."
OR IS THE CREATION OF ISRAEL the work of a larger group, not just one family? In his book, The Controversy of Zion, Douglas Reed notes the surfacing of international Jewish power (he quotes Dr. Joseph Kastein): "The executive set up by the 197 men at Basel was the first embodiment of the Jewish International." In other words, Reed says, "...something that already existed received a visible expression. A 'Jewish International' was already in being and this was powerful enough to command royal, princely and ministerial audiences for Dr. Herzl everywhere."
To give a sense of the forces behind Herzl's Zionist drive to hand Palestine over to the Jews, a Baron de Hirsch was Herzl's chief financial backer. Hirsch was private banker and financial adviser to King Edward VII of England. He shared this relationship with another Jewish banker, Sir Ernest Cassel was a leading member of what Brian Connell, in his biography of Cassel, calls a 'small international fraternity'. "There was Max Warburg, head of the great private banking house in Hamburg..." Edouard Noetzlin in Paris, Wlerthheim and Gompertz in Amsterdam, Philippson in Brussels, Kuhn, Loeb and Co. in New York: "Ties of race and interest bound these men together. The web of their communications quivered at the slightest touch. They maintained between them an incredibly accurate network of economic, political and financial intelligence at the highest level. They could withdraw support here, provide additional funds there, move immense sums of money with lightning rapidity and secrecy from one corner to another of their financial empires, and influence the political decisions of scores of countries." Quoting Reed (p. 205): "...there can be no reasonable doubt that this was the 'Jewish international' of which Dr. Kastein wrote and the mechanism which operated, across all national boundaries, to support Dr. Herzl.
