I have hardly flown for a few months, and Jon (Howler on FPVhub) had just built his FPV250 so we met up for a practice session. I also stuck a banggood 3 LED strip on the back of mine, and a colour phasing/flashing LED op left on rear, Jon had a set of red LED's, so was good to try them out and see how visible they were through FPV and on recorded video.
It was freezing cold, really windy, Jon was using my spare monitor, and I am pretty rusty having not flown in ages, so we had a fair few tumbles and a couple of props each, but good to get the thumbs working again, and need to keep in practice for FPV racing when weather improves.
The last near miss not sure what happened, I was concentrating on quad in front of me and nearly drifted into myself - not good, so had a stern word with myself after this and a quiet sit down before next flight!
Jon spec is FPV250L, KK2 Steveis firmware, DYS 1806 motors, gemfan 5x3 props, didn't run his gopro (probably best given the wind).
Mine is FPV250L, KK2 with rc911 v1.6++, rcx 1804 2400kv motors, afro12 ESC, gemfan 5x3 props, Mobius for recording, Nanotech 3S1300 45-90 and 25-50C lipos.
