It was a crisp & lovely afternoon, I had music on & was just enjoying turning laps on a fun course! Honestly not that much else to say, it was a chill day & was flying purely for the love of flying. It felt good & wanted to keep this flight here to return to one day! Hopefully you enjoy the ride too :D
Oh yeah also this is my fourth session on 50 degrees camera tilt! Besides flying other peoples quads here and there, this is my first camera angle change since ~AU Drone Nationals 2016 (At the time my JS-204 was fixed 40deg for qualifiers & races but I was rocking the prototype ImpulseRC Helix in practice which was fixed 45deg, and have been running 45 ever since until this month!).
Eh may as well throw this thought up here too since it's documenting where I'm at. I used to fly with only a slither of sky visable all the time & thats what made sense to me. I noticed in velocidrone about eight months ago, I started to make a concious effort to keep the quad banked over, & then at recent races I was finding the same concious thought appearing too. I guess my bias finally shifted to prefering horizon more centered for easier vertical manoeuvring. Yeah its weird, half way through the race in Korea I was like "Oh I think I can fly 50deg camera tilt now", and now I can!
Four sessions in my peak pace seems to be fine when I start well, but if I deviate from my prefered line I seem to revert back to how 45deg felt & thus throw myself further out of balance. Will be interesting to see how long it takes before 50deg feels like home, but the changeover has been more like a switch rather then the gradual change I expected an adjustment like this to be!
