2025 Quad Junkie New Zealand Open: Last weekend I became the first 4 x Champion of the NZO! It was a strong race for us which opened with TQ and brought along welcomed momentum into the final day, which finished with an awesome string of battles with IQ0 (P2), Wilf (P3) and Ironoid (P4).
The course was fun but challenging with the high 40kph gusting winds, 1.5m gates and a blend of both high speed and extremely technical sections of track. That being said I think everyone new or experienced with racing did a fantastic job of conquering the weekend and levelling up each others flying, right to the very last pack.
This was also the first race that we both raced in and was an official sponsor as BMS Racing! It was a truly an honour and pleasure for us to support the wonderful NZ FPV community, and it was especially heart warming to see many pilots enjoying our race drones to the limit, in both their piloting, and also customising to make the machines their own!
Always thanks to mum and dad for taking care of me (even when I'm recovering from a cold and still set on competing!), sponsors and technical partners for the continued support, and also the event organisers and New Zealand FPV Community! You rock and I can't wait to visit again!
