This is a recording of a public lecture that was delivered live at the Eureka Centre on 02/03/2023. Dr Lorinda Cramer presented our first Talking History of 2023 and discussed the humble origins of one of Australia’s first and largest department stores and clothing manufacturers, Foy & Gibson.

Talking History is a forum for the sharing of research into the history of the Ballarat region, with a special focus on the colonial period. Talks are held from March to November on the first Thursday of each month at 5.30pm. https://eurekacentreballarat.com.au/events?field_event_category_target_id=17
