The SLR McLaren has been my favorite Mercedes-Benz for as long as I can recall, so y'all can probably imagine my excitement for it when FH3's dev build first leaked and the SLR was reveled to be in the game. Unfortunately though it'd never make its way to the retail release of Horizon 3, that'll forever be a shame as it is still missing in action in Forza to this day, being last featured in 2014's Horizon 2
Maybe it was due to licensing issues, I've heard that McLaren and Mercedes don't really get along anymore, so it's hard to get the license for this car approved by the both of them... though that begs the question, how the hell did The Crew 2 get the SLR 722 then? I dunno, hopefully the SLR returns to Forza eventually. For now, we have FH3's dev build, and although the dev build may run like shit, and it also may get boring with no online play, I feel that it is entirely worth downloading for this car alone

Today’s Preorder car is something more modest compared to yesterday’s. Once again, in this series I’ll take each of the preorder edition cars and compare them side-by-side to their regular counterparts. Preorder cars are as they sound, they’re special cars that are given for preordering Forza Horizon 4 from different retailers. They usually have more power and more torque, weight less, and have better handling than their default versions
AMG GT R PO is similar to Focus PO in that it’s supposedly unreleased. Once again, I can’t confirm or deny that, a lot of the realities of the Focus are shared with the AMG GT R; I’ve heard that it was given out to popular youtubers and promoters in the Forza community, and it’s also been modded into people’s garages and duplicated all across the auction house. I’m not even sure what retailer would have given out this preorder car, there’s been no speculation on that
But that’s neither here nor there, only thing that matters is the one I have to compare for you all. AMG GT R PO starts at S1-900, and lands at S2-995 with its unique Racing V12 swap (unique in that the regular model doesn’t get it), and AWD drivetrain swap. Without any swaps however, it lands at S2-957. Regular AMG GT R starts at S1-858 and lands at S2-947
Both have been max tuned without any swaps. AMG GT R gets 902 hp, 763 lb-ft of torque and weights 2,816 lbs. AMG GT R PO gets 993 hp (91 hp more), 843 lb-ft of torque (80 lb-ft more), and weights 2,768 lbs (48 lbs less). AMG GT R tops at 231.2 mph with 398 lbs of downforce on the rear, does 0-60 in 3.103s, does 0-100 in 6.024s, and produces 2.2 lateral Gs. AMG GT R PO tops at 241.4 mph also with 398 lbs of downforce on the rear, does 0-60 in 3.335s, 0-100 in 7.042s and also produces 2.2 lateral Gs
Some of y’all may have noticed in previous videos how the regular version of the car sometimes has the faster 0-100 over the PO edition. In this case, the AMG GT R has both the faster 0-60 and 0-100, particularly outpacing the GT R PO to 100 by over a second. I’m not sure what’s up with that, ideally more power + more torque + less weight = faster car. I guess not
These two cars do feel relatively similar overall, they both get 2.2 lateral Gs and I don’t doubt that because AMG GT R PO doesn’t feel like it handles a whole lot better than the regular model. This is in comparison to the Focus RS PO and its regular counterpart, where in their case I do feel the difference between the two. Hell, for the first half of this race, the regular model was actually ahead of the PO GT R. PO GT R really excels once it gets its V12 swap. In any case, AMG GT R PO was able to come back and take the win, but only with a 2 second difference

I will now shamelessly copy the description from my previous two videos onto this one because my initial thoughts pretty much cover all that I want to say and also just in case this is the first video in this series of mine that youre watching, but to reiterate I was surprised to find that all of the games on my computer actually work decently with this aspect ratio. However, most of them do have their HUD elements floating about a quarter from the edge of the screen since thats where the edge would be on a 16:9 monitor of course, and then there are others that dont play nice with this aspect ratio and instead are zoomed in a bit too far (to match the frame height of the game to the monitor). I dont know how much that can be helped but I still have a regular 1080p monitor hooked up as my secondary display, so I can easily play those games there anyway
MW 12 surprisingly is one of the very few games that actually takes advantage of the full screen width, at least the HUD does because theres still black bars in the pause menu... and in the startup screen, and loading screens, and the rendered pre-race cinematics, and the post-race results, and pretty much everywhere that isnt direct gameplay I guess

After a friend sent me several files which added a lot of events to World Offline, he also informed me of a single-player TE event on the map. Well, sure enough, I managed to find it. Heres gameplay from the only single-player TE ever, in my Rose Largo 911 GT2 (which the Rose edition should have been made on in the first place).

NFS MW 2005 on max settings, 1600x900 resolution (no shadow detail, being that this is a completely unmodified game, the option isnt available, although I can only imagine how badly shadow detail would murder the FPS due to this shitty Intel graphics card). FPS averaged around 30-40 (never lower than 30). Recorded with Fraps @60FPS (the game literally sits at 60 FPS when not recording), however the video may look like shit because YouTube is playing it at 30FPS (unless you use Google Chrome, then you have the option to watch the video at 720p60 FPS)

What we have here is the race course I have been waiting for since I first got my hands on GTA V. Finally, it has arrived. Introducing, the Nürburgring Nordschleife
This map mod is the result of over two years of pure effort and determination on the part of Vans123, the author. They worked tirelessly through long days and sleepless nights to produce what is, in my opinion, one of the best map mods for GTA V. Though the course does suffer from pop-in issues, the visual fidelity is still something to marvel at; from the skid marks throughout the course to the individual blades of grass, the visuals are indicative of the metric fuckton of work put into this map, and I couldnt be more impressed
Beyond the Nordschleife circuit, this map mod also includes the GP circuit in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring configuration, which means the GP circuit is blocked off across the last turn before the finish line. Those of yall that want to do laps around the GP circuit alone unfortunately cannot at this time, though there is a separate Nürburgring GP Circuit map mod. Hopefully though, the author introduces the option to do Nürburgring GP Circuit on its own in the future
I also hope the author can remedy the pop-in issues, as much as I love Nürburgring Nordschleife the pop-in does get annoying, admittedly. Its not enough that I wouldnt wholeheartedly recommend this track to everyone anyway, I just want to see this map mod to become the best version of itself that it can. Regardless its worthy of nothing but praise. Vans123 has crafted a work of art, and I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do
