A viewer sent me a copy of the anti-SLAPP motion (a motion to dismiss the case based on Constitutional grounds) and the court's ruling. I have taken a look at it. These are complicated motions, and Lane Myers' failed to attach any evidence through declarations, nor attached any authenticated exhibits. Since they are evidentiary motions, the Court will lack evidence to grant it, absent some other factors. This motion went way beyond page limits and was just argument, rather than evidence and argument, accompanied by exhibits or evidence that refutes specific charges. This motions must be carefully drafted. The lawyers handling these motions are seasoned trial lawyers.
