Forkys (Greece) - Tonight (Album "Lamentation (ep and unreleased tracks)")

" Forkys formed 2000 years after the year defined as "Zero", by Dominique A. (performer and musician) and Vril (sound engineer and designer). They chose for their band a name from the pantheon of Ancient Greek gods. Forkys used to be the God of Water (like Poseidon) and He was the father of many mythological monsters.
As His sentiments vary from the extremely calm to the absolute angry, like the sea waves do, the band's compositions reflect several moods, also. Gothic, industrial, electro, ambient, even medieval songs have already been produced, published and performed live. Cool melodies and hard beats, physical instruments and synthesizes sounds, ethereal and distorted vocals co-exist in every release. This is the world of Forkys and you are welcome in!

Album description
Back to the period of 2001-2003, we published our first songs. As, at that time, it was not easy to sign a serious contract, we decided to offer, thru DIY philosophy, a limited edition ep, which included three songs. This ep soon became a sold-out and until nowadays, it is classified as a "classic piece of art" among the local fans of gothic music.
This year (2010), we decided to offer the full version of "Lamentation". Thanks to "Jamendo" and "Common Creations" we can distribut it to everybody interested in our music, with good sound quality and new artwork. This is a digital only release, and there will not be any physical (cd or vinyl) release, as we are going to publish our new songs within the next weeks.
All songs written, arranged and performed by Forkys except #8, arranged by Thanassis Paschalis.
Engineered and mastered by Apostolis Papadomichelakis at Studio "Echostassion" (2002).
Additional engineering (#3) by Thanassis Moraitis.
