What’s on this Commodore 64 floppy disk? Let’s find out.
In this episode of What’s on That Floppy, I load up a mystery 5¼ inch disk on a real Commodore 64 to see what games are hiding on it.
This disk revealed three classic C64 games:
Beachhead II
Super Pipeline
Bandits
0:00 Intro: What’s on the Beach-Head II Disk?
0:39 Beach-Head II: The Rescue
3:33 Level 2: The Prisoner Camp
6:43 Channel Update: Shorts & Long-Form Content
7:14 Level 3: The Forest Run
9:17 Final Level: The Knife Fight
11:18 Super Pipeline — 1983
14:04 Bandits — 1983
16:58 Final Thoughts & Wrap-Up
No emulators here. This is real C64 hardware with an original 1541 floppy drive, complete with authentic loading times, drive sounds, and gameplay exactly the way we remember it.
If you grew up with the Commodore 64, you know the feeling. Sliding a mystery disk into the drive and wondering what would load next.
Sometimes you struck gold…
Sometimes you found something straight out of the craptacular department.
Let’s fire up the drive and see what’s on that floppy.
BOOM!
Which of these C64 games did you play back in the day? Let me know in the comments.
