The lever double-eye is a project out of an old blacksmithing book called “Blacksmith's Manual Illustrated”. It was written by a fellow who used to work in a locomotive shop, and most of the projects in the book are locomotive parts that require steam hammers to forge them in full scale. This is just a scaled-down version, and it’s a really good forging exercise. I’d recommend that if you’re looking to up your forging game, try out this project; it’s harder than it looks!
