More importantly, there’s a much simpler explanation for why Foreign Tongues sounds the way it does: an inspired Mick Jagger, Andrew Watt’s relentless quality control, Steve Jordan’s musical contribution, and some of the most experienced musicians in rock and roll doing what they’ve done for decades.
And there’s a certain irony in calling the Stones’ new music “AI” precisely when they refuse to sound like a computer-generated imitation of their past.
