I put this fun little compilation together to really reflect the benefits of immersion as a language learner. It's only a tiny fraction of the video I have between Egypt and Korea but it should give you an idea of the powerful bond with people that's possible, especially when living with host families for language immersion.
Many of the people in this video don't speak English.
I also want to help dispel the terrible misconception people have of the Middle East being a terrible place full of bad people. As you can see, there are so many wonderful people in the Arab world and they've really changed my life for the better.
