In the Philippines several typhoons occur every year. Sometimes such typhoons cause a lot of devastations, such as typhoon Haiyan in 2013 which caused more than 6000 fatalities. Deltares helps to forecast such typhoons a few days in advance, so people can use this time to prepare to limit the damages.
