Ahead of the release of PRESSURE, a feature film depicting the high-stakes 72 hours leading up to D-Day, AMS is planning a special webinar exploring the meteorology that shaped one of the most consequential military decisions in modern history.
This webinar features the director of 'Pressure' (Anthony Maras) and the film's meteorological advisors, as well as two eminent weather historians. They will discuss how Group Captain James Stagg and his multinational team navigated conflicting forecasts to advise General Dwight D. Eisenhower on whether to proceed with the Allied invasion. It will also compare these historic methods with today’s advanced forecasting tools, offering both scientific insight and public engagement.
