Ford and Honda have taken 2 different approaches to consumers 3D printing items for their car. Honda recently issues a blitz of takedown notices to various file sharing sites to remove their car parts and Honda logos. Ford on the other hand released their limited FITS mounting system which includes the CAD files for 3D printing some accessories for their Maverick Truck.
In this video I cover the good, bad, & improvements that all automotive companies can do with 3D printing. Honda I fell hurt their public image, and I feel that Ford could do more.
