Watch a full tutorial as a 2017 Ford F150 Raptor Trim Truck will have a brand new JVC 10.1" floating screen double din radio installed. We will be removing the factory 8.4" radio and installing the KW-Z100W which adds wireless Apple Carplay, Android Auto, HDMI, Bluetooth functionality, and enhanced power output for better sound quality.
This video applies to Ford F-150 models for years 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. This kit also works for F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 models with the similar dash design. This video also includes dash trim and stereo removal, radio wiring, and installation.
***NOTE: this install will apply to trucks only with the 8.4" Factory Screen. Using this kit, you also MUST use an iDatalink Maestro compatible radio, however, Pac also makes the RPk4-FD2101 kit that works with any radio.
***NOTE: You CANNOT replace the 8.4" OEM radio IF your truck was equipped with the B&O audio system UNLESS you bypass the factory amplifier (which is what we did in a separate video). IF you have the SONY audio system, the MFT1 kit works just fine with that factory amp and is compatible.
