Artist Céline Condorelli explores the politics of space, care, and collaboration through sculpture, installation, and writing. Her commissioned work for Folkestone Triennial 2025: How Lies the Land?, Dedication (To The Sea, To The Sea), connects the town centre to the harbour with flag-like sculptures, banners, and live performance.
Drawing on maritime signalling, the work honours those who cross or work at sea, offering messages of care, solidarity, and safe passage. It reimagines sites once tied to national power as places for reflection and welcome, weaving together Folkestone’s histories of movement, memory, and hope by the water.
