Looking for more die-cutting ideas? Discover how to create beautiful, floral designs in no time, with the aid of the Brother ScanNCut SDX! In this Crafts Channel folk art tutorial, our star designer Corinne Bradd demonstrates more of your ScanNCut's capabilities, so that you can get the most out of your digital die-cutting machine while creating stunning greetings and wall art!
For this project, Corinne will be exploring the layering and resizing function on the Brother ScanNCut – although she uses the SDX1200, you can also make this project with any of the Brother die-cutting machines as well. Simply download our free folk art templates from the link below and install them onto your ScanNCut first, then watch Corinne as she guides you through resizing the motifs, so that they will fit inside each other perfectly, no matter how large or small you want them. Then, simply cut them out from brightly coloured card at the press of a button and follow Corinne's tutorial as she arranges them into dazzling designs. These can then be used to create greeting cards, journal covers or to decorate painted canvases for lovely wall art.
Once you've mastered layering and resizing, you'll be able to create your own folk art with your Brother ScanNCut in any size you like. Simply draw your designs on paper as Corinne shows, creating individual shapes that can be layered on top of each other, then scan them in and away you go.
