Project Phoenix Media | FMCB and OPL Install Tutorial for PS2 USB Games Using FreeDVDBoot (English) @ProjectPhoenixMedia | Uploaded July 2020 | Updated October 2024, 1 week ago.
Today's tutorial shows you how to install FMCB and OPL to your memory card, assuming your PS2 is compatible with FreeDVDBoot, and also with FMCB.
If yes, then the video will go over these basic steps once FreeDVDBoot has fully loaded:
1) Install FMCB from USB to memory card.
2) Copy over OPL to memory card using uLaunchELF.
3) Create OPL shortcut on home screen of FMCB.
4) Run OPL, enable USB loading, and then play USB games. This assumes your USB is already setup with PS2 games correctly installed. See link section below for more details.

For educational purposes only as a proof of concept. Todays tutorial is a general tutorial showing you where to install your EBOOT.BIN and your .sprx mod menus on your PS3. Although you can install the files to your PS3 thru USB, I prefer FTP because its more convenient. Enjoy!
Recap for playing online:
1) Mount your game or insert disc.
2) Run psninja, and run top 3 options.
3) Run psnpatch, hold X until console restarts.
4) Sign into PSN.
5) Start your BO2 game and play.
