In this video I check a FM oscillator with a portable radio. I had to put the antenna of the portable radio really close to the tuner section of the suspected bad radio for this to work. The good radio was tuned 10.7 Mhz higher than the suspected bad radio. For example, if the good radio was tuned to 100 Mhz, the suspected bad radio was tuned to 89.3 Mhz. That means 100-10.7=89.3 The frequency dial of the suspected radio was then varied back and forth and a silence was heard. Had to shorten part of the video because of the copyrighted music the radio was playing.
