Fluid Rheology is the study of how fluids behaves under the influence of an external force. Depending on their properties, the fluids are classified as Newtonian fluids and Non-Newtonian fluids. To understand fluid rheology, the graph of shear stress and shear rate is very important. If the graph of shear stress and shear rate is a straight line graph, then such fluids are termed as Newtonian fluids. if this graph deviates from straight line, then such fluids are termed as Non-Newtonian fluids.
