In this video Niki Jabbour teaches us how to maintain perfect flowering pots.
There are 3 things to remember:
1. Water your pots every day in hot weather. Containers need more water than plants in soil and dry out quickly. A quick test for hanging pots is to hold them underneath and see if they are light or heavy. If light they need water.
2. Fertilise your pots once a week. Either put some fertilizer in your water when watering or put some fertilizer granules in the soil so every time you water some of the nutrients will be released. Add this granular fertilizer 2 or 3 times a season.
3. Deadhead dying flowers. The perfect place to do this is where the flower stem meets the plant. This will help promote new growth.
