Florian Lipowitz, a 25-year-old standout from Germany, suffered a race-ending crash during the Stage 16 individual time trial at the Tour de France 2026.

Lipowitz finished third in the General Classification at the Tour de France 2025, but he was successful in his quest for the white jersey, awarded to the race’s best young rider.

The dangerous corner was almost troublesome for overall leader Tadej Pogačar, too, though he managed to stay upright and went on to finish second in the stage to Remco Evenepoel.
