Exploring the Florence Sand Dunes! In this video, we tell the story of how we got our RV stuck in the sand at the Oregon dunes. This was our first time exploring the Oregon dunes and it was quite the experience.
The Oregon dunes consist of three separate areas, Florence Dunes, Winchester Bay Dunes, and Coos Bay Dunes. We opted for the Florence sand dunes because we had read online that they were the smallest for our trucks and these sand dunes were the closest to Eugene Oregon. We camped at the Siltcoos Sand Caping area which requires a 4x4 and the correct recovery gear. We were fully prepared and still got out RV stuck in the deep sand. Luckily after a little bit of work and using our Jeep Grand Wagoneer 4x4 we were able to make it to our camping location.
We also explore Shore Acres State Park, Sunset Beach Oregon, and the small town of Coos Bay Oregon.
