One decade ago, Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles delivered an inspired address titled "To Sweep the Earth as with a Flood," inviting disciples of Jesus Christ to consider how to use social media to share the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Ten years later, this message continues to hold great significance. In this interview about what we have learned—and what we still should learn—Elder Bednar teaches that we demonstrate the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ by living our faith in our social media interactions. In our use of social media, we have an additional opportunity to be true disciples of Jesus Christ and, in turn, guide others to Him.
