Kits World | Flight of the Navigator | Film Review @kitsworld | Uploaded August 2020 | Updated October 2024, 6 hours ago.
Flight of the Navigator, directed by Randal Kleiser, and starring Joey Cramer, Veronica Cartwright, Cliff De Young, Howard Hesseman, and Sarah Jessica Parker, is a classic science-fiction fantasy adventure from the 1980's.
Featuring some of the earliest use of CGI in a movie, the effects stand up surprisingly well even today. Unlike the music by Alan Silvestri, which includes some of the worst synth music the 1980's could generate!
But overall this is a delightful, feel-good, family film which takes me right back to a happier time - a much needed escape from the troubles of the present.
I always knew time-travel was the only solution!
