A Flathead County District Court judge has ruled in favor of the Montana Department of Environmental Quality in a legal challenge involving the Lakeside County Water and Sewer District’s wastewater treatment improvements.
Judge Danni Coffman issued the decision on August 10 in a case brought by Citizens for a Better Flathead and the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes.
The groups challenged the DEQ’s environmental review of a groundwater discharge permit issued to the district.
