This is the 1954 TV version, made in West Germany, with Steve Holland as Flash Gordon and Irene Champlin. I have several episodes but not the whole series of 39!
The originals are in B&W but I am colourising the few episodes I have.
I'm using Deoldify, which struggles with longer pieces, so I've done it in 2 parts. This is Episode 8, Part 1. The second part will follow soon.
Luckily it seems the episodes are "stand alone" and can be watched without needing to see the previous episode, and without the Cliffhangers of the original 1936-1940 series of 3 with Buster Crabbe.
"The Breath of Death":
"Dale is sent to a prison world to repair the machinery used to create oxygen, without which not only the ruthless prisoners, but the warden and his guards would soon perish. Flaggert, the most notorious murderer in the galaxy manages to break out of his cell and hides on Flash Gordon's spaceship in order to make good his escape and have his revenge on the man who sent him to prison in the first place".
